Debby Thompson uses her own experiences in talking about the struggles as well as the blessings of being the wife of a, as she puts it, “world changer.” Her insights into common struggles, doubts, misgivings, and more are practical, personal, and sometimes a bit convicting.
This book is overflowing with Scripture the author uses as a basis for her points, a fact which points to this book being God-breathed for women who are married to men in ministry.
I also really enjoyed the cameos of some great women of faith who supported the men in their lives. And while I’m not a wife of a world changer (or a wife at all), there was plenty to glean from Thompson.
Whether you are married to a leader or know of a leader and wife who need encouragement (family, friends, etc), Thompson’s wisdom is indispensable. The Leader’s Wife offers perspective into a role that is sometimes lonely, often scrutinized by the public, and always under attack from the enemy.
