What to say about this story? I guess first of all I need to mention that this is not a romance. The blurb says that Adam 'rescues' Max and that is accurate – but I am not sure what he's rescuing him from, because what follows is pretty rough. Not that Max doesn't enjoy every second of it. But be warned: this is erotica, pure and simple, and the kind that takes place with more than one partner and some very interesting uses of a pool table!

Max is curious and desperate for some "real" BDSM action. Well, "real" is relative and we soon find out how Max defines it: rough, as many men as he can deal with, and as hot as you can imagine. He does respond well to cuddling when it's all over, but the thought foremost in his mind isn’t the comfort, it's the heat of what he did.

Adam is one of those Tops who just seem to read a sub's mind and make their fantasies come true. Lucky for Max, because walking into that bar without someone to direct proceedings, so to speak, might have overwhelmed him. Adam takes care of all of that, and gets his own toppy and exhibitionist needs taken care of while he is at it.

If you like gay erotica, if you enjoy a gangbang that has everyone involved and happy, and if you're looking for a read that's all about the action, then you might like this short story.

There can be a big difference between fantasizing about BDSM and actually experiencing it. This is the story of Gavin finally meeting the man of his dreams and making some of his fantasies come true. The way he goes about it is really funny, his first bike ride scares him almost to nausea, but the BDSM bits all fall into place as if he'd been born to it. This is not hardcore by any means, more like a "gentle introduction" to some of the aspects of finding and being charmed by an older, more BDSM-experienced man.

Gavin has been dreaming about a leather daddy for years, and has a strategy about how to meet the leather daddy of his dreams. Visiting biker shows is his biggest hope, but he is also very careful when he does meet a man who might make his fantasies come true. As a consequence, they both get into a relationship slowly, and I like how the sane and consensual, not to mention the safe, played out here. Not that it made any of what Gavin experiences any less hot! I think the fact that it was the first time for him made it both hot and very sweet.

Terry is more than a little interested in Gavin, but he is also responsible and very caring. I like that he didn’t bark out rough orders in the beginning, and always let Gavin know there was an out. Terry is also more than capable to show Gavin a range of activities, so Gavin has a choice. We don't find out a lot about him beyond that, but then, this is pretty much focused on the sub's experience.

If you like stories about a man exploring his fantasies, if you enjoy reading about an introduction to BDSM, and if you're looking for a read that is both hot and sweet, you will probably like this short story.

The saying "If something looks too good to be true, it probably is" has been proven to be valid many, many times. This story is a further example, one where Josh, not normally very lucky with men, suddenly has a lover who is very interested in him. Not that Josh believes it at first, but once Roy assures him there is no reason to be weary, Josh falls for it hook, line, and sinker. Oh boy, is he in for a rude awakening.

Josh has not had much luck with men, and his job as a lawyer doesn't exactly give him much time to look for someone. He has become very cynical over the years, hates going to bars for a hookup, and one thing he will not allow is for anyone else to set him up with a date. His friend Tony has different plans… and Josh has a lot to learn about not rejecting a good thing just because it may not have happened to him on his terms.

If you like stories where the main character is his own worst enemy, if you enjoy reading about men who have a thing or two to learn before allowing themselves to find happiness, and if you're looking for a read that offers all of the above in a hot little package, then you will probably enjoy this short story.

I almost never read zombie stories, but this one is short and part of an anthology I really enjoyed, so I decided to give it a go. I was lucky – it was a lot less creepy than the few I had attempted before, and instead turned out to be really funny. With the power between necromancer and zombie suddenly turned around, it fits the theme of the “Exchange of Power” Anthology perfectly, and that made for some hilarious moments as Edward, the medical-student-necromancer, and Kit, the zombie he is engaged with, discover they have a problem.

Since this is a sequel to ‘My Zombie Boyfriend’, it is clear that this couple has a history. But I was able to follow along without any problems, so don’t let not having read the novel stop you from enjoying this little piece of fun. It is told from Kit’s point of view, and he brings some unique zombie humor to the table as he talks about the day when he suddenly had the “command voice” and was able to tell Edward what to do for once. It is only funny to a point – and mostly for Kit – because this is not how it’s supposed to be. So the two lovers search for what’s causing the mess, and come to a startling conclusion.

If you like humor and zombies, if you enjoy a bit of a mystery with a supernatural touch, and if you’re looking for a short, fun read that will probably make you laugh, then you might like this short story.
