This is a beautiful booklet, compiled from lectures of Krister Stendhal on the roots of violence in the pages of Scripture. He has some great words about how shalom means the inclusion of all things and reading the Bible with an eye towards the language of peace.

I had read quotations from Stendhal before but this is the first book I read from him. I appreciate his insights and humility and the implications he draws out for ecumenism and interfaith dialogue.
