This is a book of aerial shots, many of which I have never seen before, from around the globe. The title would imply that they show the effects of global warming (i.e., rising sea levels, desertification, deforestation) but this is not always obvious without reading the captions. The text is mostly limited to those captions. What I came away with was that artfully photographed, a dying planet can appear beautiful.
Gorgeous book. Beautiful aerial photography with interesting facts about each. There are many rooftop pools, bars and eateries that I'd love to visit!
Fifteen years of adventures to capture aerial photographs of all the desert regions of the world. Glorious photographs that draw you in and make you wish you could be there yourself. Would have been five stars, but the reproduction quality was not as high as I would have expected for a coffee table book of this scope. Highly recommended for all lovers of wild desert places.
