This is a book series that spotlights America's towns, neighborhoods and cities. This one, of course, shines on Florissant, Missouri where I live with my family. Not very detailed or in-depth, but it's a small book (128 pgs), with lots of photographs. Does a nice job of laying out in a general way Florissant's origins, early history and the road to present-day Florissant. I may have to drive around with this book and check out before-and-now of some of the early photographs. Lots of familiar locales in here, of course, and my oldest son even recognized a couple of the kids that posed on the last page, presumably showing Florissant's future.… (mais)
