This book discusses the characterizes of speedboats. It is an informational book about the different types, styles, and events that speedboating entails. The book reveals how fast speedboats can go and how much they cost. Two different types of speedboats are discussed, the Monohull and the Catamaran. The book compares the two types of speedboats. The fun facts throughout the book spark the children’s interests. The main idea is supported through a glossary of words in the back the book. This is a nice book that give the reader vague infromation about different sea monsters, including Nessie and the Krakan. I guess the book is fine for a young kid just starting to learn about this type of thing, but it is very vague and doesn't even touch on all the 'proof' out there for sea monsters.
