Not the book I needed right now, but I pulled it off the library shelf out of curiosity. I'm planning to improve a cramped bathroom, and wanted ideas on layout. There are, unfortunately, no complete bathrooms even pictured in this book.

I also found myself exasperated by sentences like "It is the practice of repetition and breadth, fragment and amplitude, that gives the architecture its selective melody." (p65, on surfacing). If you want to read someone wax poetic about bathrooms, this might be just the book for you!

The pictures are beautiful and give some good ideas about styles that you might want to achieve - it's probably a good book to bring to an architect or designer that you're working with.… (mais)
