Pool of Crimson is book one in The Blushing Death series by [a:Suzanne M. Sabol|2889259|Suzanne M. Sabol|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1325205871p2/2889259.jpg]. This is my first experience with this author and WOW she pulled me in. Do not underestimate this book, because once you get into it you will not be able to put it down. We have a verity of supernatural creatures, a love triangle, and loads of kick ass action.

Dahlia is a kick ass chick that is something more. What? We don't know yet. She knows there is more out there then what regular humans know. Patrick isa vampire, Ethan’s second, and must do what his master bids, but when he runs into Dahlia the game changes. Then throw in Danny a werewolf hottie, his pack, and you have a supernatural free-for-all.

This book starts off with a bang and does not slow down. We have a mystery to solve and evil to kill. Dahlia wants to be normal, but she is far from it and we see right off that the supernatural world disrupts her attempts at a regular life. The author introduces us to a verity of great characters and byplay between them that is fun and enjoyable. Then we have the steamy sex and action between Dahlia and the male characters. Though I’m not a fan of the love triangle only time will tell how this plays out. I enjoy reading about a kick ass heroine and wonderful characters that I can dive into and let real life vanish. I liked the verity of supernaturals, the conflict, the characters, and action. All of it was enjoyable.

Pool of Crimson was a fun adventure to read. For those that like urban fantasy, I suggest giving this one a try. Great plot, characters, and romance. I plan on checking out the rest of this series!

My Thoughts...

'Violet Abyss' was the seventh in the series: A Blushing Death that will definitely present its title.

We find Dahlia Sabin has lived quite a 'lonely existence as a killer of the undead know as "The Blushing Death." This author gives the reader quite a interesting read as Dahlia becomes very involved in the 'middle of vampire conclave.' What will happen when the 'vampire liege' comes to New Orleans? This will be quite a interesting read however, I did find that the read will be so much more understood if you have read the other six in this series....Book one...A Pool of Crimson, Book 2 Midnight Ash, Book 3 Silver of Silver, Book 4 Golden Anidae, Book 5 Black Dalliances, Book 6 Emerald Fire and this one Book 7 A Blushing Death where the reader finds there will be a lots of action going on[in all of these series]. Will Dahlia, Patrick and Dean be able to get back this 'ancient relic of power' and save their friend Everett? This read will show how these three who were more than friends as they 'must use everything in their arsenal to turn the tide of revolution, and turning enemies into allies is more difficult and dangerous than any of them knew.' Would I recommend 'Violet Abyss?' Yes, but I would also recommend reading Books 1-6 before reading book 7 for a better understanding of what all has all gone on earlier in this action packed story of humans, werewolves and vampires.… (mais)

My Thoughts...

This was the sixth in the Blushing Death series...'Emerald Fire.' If you like paranormal with vampires, wolfs, zombies, dark magic,supernatural, romance [love triangle], shifters, witches, other magical creatures and lets not leave out the hot steamy sex scenes you have come to the right place for this read will give it to you and so much more one good read. Not only does this author give you a 'drop dead beautiful vampire, sexy werewolf, a totally kick butt heroine but lots and lots of action to back it up with some off the chart well developed and portrayed characters' that will keep your attention all the way through the good read to the end of this series. I loved how this author was able to bring this story into sync...especially with two alpha males and with the old and new enemies there will be a lots of action with twist and turns going on. Be ready for 'bodies starting to pile up, dark magic coming as a high ranking vampire board member invade Dahlia's territory.' Will Dahlia be able to survive all of this and more?

I will say this author gives and keeps the reader quite interested reading as we see how the three of them coexisting [Dahlia, Patrick & Dean]as she 'continues to weave a story as she builds the couple's dynamics with the men in Dahlia's life along with the other secondary characters' as they tie it altogether into this last series. Would I recommend this paranormal/urban/fantasy? YES!… (mais)

My Thoughts.....

"A Pool of Crimson" which was the first in The Blushing Death series was quite a attention grabber that will keep you turning the pages. If you like werewolf's, vampires, demons, ghost, magic and spirits you have come to the right place for a good paranormal read with some even some mystery and adventure. Be ready for a fast paced read that will take off with the heroine Dahlia who was a vampire hunter[with magical powers] after visiting a gallery feels the need to withdraw her stake. Now why was that and what will happen after an event happens and she finds the 'amulet?' Dahlia is trying to discover the ring of Vampires who are running rampant around the city dropping bodies. Well, you will have to pick up this urban fantasy to find out what that is about in this good read. I will say that Dahlia is one 'kick-butt' alpha hardcore female that had some unusual characteristics that most of the supernaturals were definitely afraid of.

Will Dahlia be able to find out why Ethan...the master vampire wants to raise 'Aheiman' a demon from hell? Along with all of that Dahlia seems to be intrigued about the masters second in command [vampire] and also a paramedic who was a enforcer[werewolf] which will eventually lead her into their politics and territorial wars.

The big question for Dahlia was why were these supernaturals intrigued with her? What will happen when Dahlia find out that she is called? ...well I will stop here! Be ready for many twist and turns that will come about in this well told story as we meet some real interesting characters [Dahlia, Jade, Danny, Patrick, Candace, Smarmy, Dominique,Ethan, Ebony Goddess] that were found to be well developed and portrayed. I don't want to leave out those nicknames that the heroine used that were down right funny that did bring a little humor to the read.

So, if you are looking for some vivid characters with great interactions, twist and turns, mystery, humor, danger, passion and oh yes some violence then you have come to the right place for a good dark urban fantasy read.… (mais)
