Great read about holiday/Christmas beers and winter warmers.

If you're like me and enjoy the year's end darker, richer spiced beers, this is a great guide through the details and history of such brews as well as a ranking of the author's top 50 and 100 other favorites. Of all of them, I've had 22 of the top 50 and 43 out of the whole 150. In fact, my wife went out of her way to make sure I had at least 3 new winter beers I'd not tried before on hand for Yule and New Year's nights.

Now if I could just get Ebenezer Ale (from Bridgeport Brewing Company) out here in Michigan, I'd be happier.… (mais)

Great little book on Christmas beers. The author obviously loves beer and the book is a quick read and covers a bit of beer lore related to christmas as well as reviews of some of his favorite christmas beers. Also included are some recipes for homebrew, although honestly only one or two. Then many more about using beer in Christmas foods.

I need to try to read some books on wine, I wonder if they tend to be so chock-full of little facts and short little history stories.
