Richard L. Rubenstein is president emeritus and distinguished professor of religion at the University of Bridgeport. Rubenstein is the author of After Auschwitz, which is widely cited as initiating the discussion of the Holocaust in contemporary religious thought. I found this a very interesting book. I read it a long time ago. I don't remember but I think it looks at the questions raised about the existence of God by the nazi holocaust. Why would any active or involved God permit this? (which of course is true about many many things.)
