Beto isn't very excited for his mami's wedding - especially since she wants him to wear a guayabera to the wedding, traditional Mexican wedding shirt with four pockets. I enjoyed reading this book and learning about this Mexican tradition. I did not know the origin of the guayabera, and was happy to learn about it. Not only did this sweet story inform us about the tradition, it brought up thoughts about losing a parent a parents remarrying. This book definitely lends itself to starting these conversations with children if applicable. I loved the length of the story and the colorful pictures throughout the book. I wish there was a Spanish/English dictionary. However, it is pretty easy to infer the meaning of the Spanish words included. Thanks for writing a creative, thoughtful and informative book!… (mais)
