What if your daughter brings home schoolbooks with sexist, racist stories?

What does "queering the curriculum" really mean? What does it look like?

What's wrong with "anti-bullying"policies?

An excellent collection of essays regarding multicultural education. Despite thinking myself quite open-minded this book opened my eyes to many cultural practices (or omissions) that I'd never considered . Plus it has an essay that delineates why the popular 90s video game Oregon Trail is racist, sexist, and anti-environment, which in itself made the book worth it.

Undertandably biased view about the attept to recognize Ebonics as a separate language which should not only be accepterd by schools, but should be a medium of instruction. I happen not to agree with either assumption, but this well-written book certainly makes powerful arguments for its view.
