Robin Pulver

I love this book as it personifies nouns and verbs. The personalities allow the children to put a face to the actions that they may hear. They get to see what they do when the children of the classroom go outside for a field day.

Second grade is about the age where children are torn between wanting mom to visit school, but aware their friends might think it uncool.
