First class brief but up to date review of the relationship of the Christian faith to science. There are only three section, the first about the influence of the findings of physics on faith. Both the results of the Copernician revolution and modern physical ideas such as the big bang. The second section covers biology particualrly evolution of course. It si resolutely supportive of theistic evolution and very cautious about ID. The interesting final chapter covers the "scientific" questions about the bible. Its documents, their reliability and the rationality of some key Christian beliefs, such as heaven and hell.
The format is of a conversation between the two authors with each chapter having an introduction. On the whole Pfunder is portrayed as putting the questions, Lucas as answering them although who did the introductiory sections is not clear to me.
Perhaps this means that the book could be written quickly with the different questions giving it an instant structure. But the same could have been achieved without the conversational style but with clear sections.
Whatever the origins it is the best short treatment of the subject I have come across.
