In one day Josy becomes an orphan. Left with the choice of foster care, or follow an odd note to a before unknown relative she chooses the note. Josy and her only remaining family...Nine the cat make it to the area of said address but can't find it. In a strange town where she knows nobody Josy doesn't know what to do... Until Nine escapes his carrier and runs off. To her surprise when she follows him she finds a junk shop with the address from the note. Crazy stuff is happening. Within moments she's thrust into a new world filled with magic, and SURPRISE she's apparently a part of it. Follow Josy and Nine on this new adventure with magic. Who are friends, who are her foes? The truth is this is fantastic
Although not a unique idea for a story it's still a great one. As others have said the story will grab you right from the beginning. It's like playing uncle with the author but she doesn't hear you. Even if you don't particularly care for this type of genre, it's a great read. Can't wait until book two comes out.

Love this author
I read the Collapsed series prior to this series and this author knows how to deliver a great story. You will be engaged right from the start and find hard to put it down. I couldn't wait for the end of my day so I could get back to it. It's not just another dystopian story.

suspense keeps growing
Second book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. I found my heart beating faster as the story progressed. Still so many questions to answer that I am on to the final story. Terrific!
