I had this book when I was younger and really loved it because of the imagery in the book. The detail in the illustrations would be really helpful to students. I love this book because it is easy for students to relate to most of these items since it is based in Mississippi. Overall I would have this book in my classroom because I think students would love it and relate to it. I would recommend this book to other teachers because I think it does an excellent job relating to students from Mississippi and the illustrations are just extraordinary.… (mais)
This book would be great for when talking about Texas because with every letter in the alphabet there are things listed about our state.
This book is a good book to use if you are a teacher in Mississippi. It is an alphabet book that goes letter-by-letter through the people, places, and things that Mississippi is known for. This would be a good book to keep in the classroom throughout the year. You could take a certain time to discuss the different things Mississippi is known for and discuss it with the children. It is important for children to know where we came from and this book is a good way to introduce that at a young age.
