A typical older Midlands publication, this volume will probably only appeal to a limited crowd given the limited numbers produced and the relatively short service life of the Beverley.
At 160 pages the author did a great job of describing the development and operational service of the aircraft with chapters devoted to the operational squadrons, the conversion units and the one Wing which comprised of two squadrons.
Also within the volume are chapters briefly covering the manufacturers service involvement and the ground pounders who kept the Beverley aloft. Like most British publications there is a chapter devoted to listing each aircraft by serial number with a limited history and final disposition.
One nice surprise was maps within the the book provided some insight into British operations throughout Africa and the Middle East.
Moderately recommend only for the most die hard fans transport aircraft or the Royal Air Force.… (mais)
