This is background story of one Steve Rowland, man selected to murder the high ranking politician but also selected to be the scapegoat and take the fall for the act.

We follow young Steve in his young days, growing up in conservative US south with his strict father and mother pushed so much to her limits that only refuge she can find is at the bottom of the bottle.

We see how Steve grows to be a person who moved from point to point in life by others and rarely through his own actions. We see how he got manipulated while in college and finally at the very end as he tries to help his wife, only person he truly loved, we seem both him mortally physically wounded but also mentally broken when he realizes how well he was played.

Interesting story, not as good as Mangoose not that much behind it.
