Clifford Norton

A rare two-volume set of original hand-mounted professional photographs by photographer, Clifford Norton, of the Glenallen estate. The volumes contain 116 black and white photographs. Volume one contains a series of exterior photographs from the estate and measures 13 x 15.5 inches with a binding of 2.5 inches. The second volumes contains a series of interior photographs and measures 13 x 15.5 inches with a binding of 2 inches.


Glenallen, the estate of Elisabeth Severance Allen Prentiss, was designed in the English manor style by Charles Schweinfurth in 1914. The estate was located at the corner of Taylor and Mayfield Road in Cleveland Heights until it was demolished in 1945.
