One of the best on osteoporosis for non-professionals but needs updating since 2000. Still a good reference for prevention, exercise, & nutrition.

Miriam Nelson was one of the first researchers to prove the connection between muscle density and the ability of the bones to absorb calcium. This book documents her research study which involved women between the ages of 50 and 80, and lays out the foundation for a weight training program that increases strength and prevents (and in some cases, reverses) osteoporosis.
