Excellent analysis of what happened to professional women as a result of social and economic expectations of the depression, World War II and the 1950s eras. Although the author focuses on mathematicians, her analysis and conclusions apply to women in all the professions, ie the women of DACOWITS, academia, medicine, and the military.
