A good resource for those studying (or just interested in) ancient history. There's lots of good information here represented in easy to interpret maps.

Not a bad supplementary read to the history of ancient Greece. It has a couple of irritating elements, such as its preference for unfamiliar (even if more accurate) spellings of ancient names (for instance, "Kleopatra" instead of "Cleopatra"). But, the point is the maps, and the maps are a great resource for someone studying the history of this period.

The beginning and middle of the book is really informative, with floorplans of the sites being described. However, it seems to lose steam by the end, when discussing areas that are off the beaten path. There is a good section with various books, movies, music and other references, so the reader can read more on the different topics. My only other complaint is that it's a bit heafty, to carry around, so I won't be able to take it to Egypt with me, to compare the text with the real thing.

Jättebra att ha när man läser om grekisk historia. Många kartor och även text till gör att man förstår det hela mycket bättre.
