Tibby has broken up with her boyfriend on a stranded stretch of road and now it is snowing! Along comes Walker. After some convincing, Tibby gets in his car. Because of the weather, these two end up in a hotel with no name on the side of the road. Then the weird stuff starts happening!

When Tibby got into Walker’s car, I did a mental head slap! I mean…how stupid can you be! But she had no options, stay outside in the snow or get into a warm car. Well? Did she make the right decision? You will have to read this to find out!

I enjoy this author! I love how she created so much suspicion around every character. I really had no idea who the villain was in this book. I enjoy a good guessing game!

The narrators, Saskia Maarleveld; Traci Odom; John Pirhalla, are so good! I love a production in a narration and this book nailed it!

I don't know about you, but family campgrounds really creep me out. Even more so now, after reading this book! ((shiver)).

So, our main trio, Carmen, Jack and Dean, have been friends for a long time. Jack and Dean's family owns the campground and, as kids, the three spent some fun times at the grounds. Then at 13, Carmen and her mom actually MOVE there to live after the death of her father. Something horrible happens during her time there as a teen that the reader isn't privy to right away. Now, as an adult, she's returned to visit her mother, only the past is never far from her mind.

Now, a girl has gone missing, and Carmen fears the tragedy from the past will be replicated in the present. But, who's behind it? A local towny? A drifter? Jack? Dean? Their friend Tye? As you read, you just don't know who to trust. True Modglin fashion - keeping you guessing!

Just as a side note, I really didn't like Tye. I mean, really. Grow up, Dude.

While the events of the past, and the mystery of the present are a big part of this twisted tale, an equally prevalent theme is the love triangle between Carmen, Jack and Dean. Which one will end up capturing her heart, and which one belongs in the past?

Oh, and as usual, you won't believe the twist at the end!!

I truly don't know where Ms. Modglin continues to come up with the story lines, and keeps track of all the twists she lays out!!

Six book influencers get together for a weekend getaway. They plan on relaxing, reading and tossing around ideas. None of them expected a weekend of terror!

I have read quite a few of Kiersten Modglin’s books. This one is my least favorite. BUT, that does not mean it is not good. It has fabulous intensity and creepiness. And I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the book references. The ending is just a bit outlandish and unrealistic.

The narrator, Stacy Gonzalez, is very good! Great with all the voices. And yes there are quite a few characters and she is very distinctive with each one.
