About the Author

Gerald Millerson's analytical writings spring from a lifetime's personal experience in the medium, and from his teaching and engineering background. During his career with the BBC, he was primarily associated with studio operations in the Television Service. This extremely comprehensive guide takes you through the various steps of putting on a live, live-to-tape, or taped broadcast of a television program. At this point the information is slightly outdated, but that is only because I picked it up some years ago. The information was fresh when I bought it, but technology sort of advanced on us since then.

Part of a series on film and television production that together I feel would make up quite a comprehensive course on the matter. This particular copy was a former special order at the New Bern Books-A-Million that was never picked up and so was added to the shelves for general sale.

Densely packed, fitting quite a lot of information into a relatively small book. It's large textbook worthy in a small, almost pocket-sized format, something one could easily keep on their desk or with other papers on a television studio for easy reference.
