I really enjoyed reading this book. Lea Michelle gives us a quick look into her life.

This is like most biographies. It's a mix of biography, recipes, fitness, food, and taking care of yourself. I found myself writing down some of the things Lea Michelle said as inspiration. I loved getting the peek into her life growing up. She shows how important her family is to her, and how she's made friends through the years.

I think my favorite parts of this book were the recipes and healthy/beauty parts. The food she makes looks absolutely yummy. I'm definitely going to be trying some of them. I also like that she gives ideas for spa days at home, and has a pretty great workout plan.

If you are a fan of Lea Michelle and want to know a little bit more about her inspirations, life, and daily regimens, Brunette Ambition is definitely a book to pick up.… (mais)

I was pleasantly surprised by this journal. It has very soothing colors that matches it's inspiring theme.

The journal covers all sorts of topics ranging from family history, health, various relationships, hobbies, charity, and gratitude to name several topic points. You do not have to particularly know about Lea Michele in order to utilize this journal. She really makes it for anyone. It is not like her original self help book which focuses on her and imparts her lifestyle tips. Which was a good book. There again you do not need to be a fan to read it. It covers many wonderful topics.

With this journal there is enough inspiration for each topic without being overbearing while giving ample amount of space to jot down your thoughts without running out of room. I also liked how it felt like Lea was writing for someone that was a close friend rather than a reader that they are just trying to push advice off on. It never comes off forced at all. I felt that after each passage I really did want to jot down how I was feeling because the way she wrote made you want to use the journal for what it's intended purpose is.

This journal is also I believe the perfect size. It is too large nor too small. I like the size because you can slip it into your book bag or medium sized purse to use it wherever you please.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review. I would recommend this journal for those looking to journal during the new year. This journal definitely would be something I would have picked up on my own if I was not able to receive it for review purposes.… (mais)

Sinceramente no tenía idea de que iba a hablar en este libro, pero igual me tiré a la pileta.

Creo que Lea Michele es una de las pocas actrices jóvenes "completas" que tienen los yanquis: es muy buena actriz (cuando puede) y una cantante excepcional (cuando Glee la deja entre tantas porquerias que cantan en el programa, que por cierto, también es una porquería hoy en día).Cuando conseguí "Brunette Ambition" (para pasar el rato, ver que onda, descansar el cerebro después de tanto trabajo con un poco de No-ficción insípida), buscaba una biografía al menos, pero me encontré con una excusa muuuuuy larga- y digo excusa en el sentido de defensa, pues lo único que se lee en este "Libro" son cosas del estilo: "Todos dicen que soy una diva pero no soy una diva" WTF?? A quién le importa?? y TAMBIÉN "O sea, no soy una diva porque me importan...eh... las cosas...eso, hay cosas que me importan" ; o No importa que digan que soy una diva Entonces para que escribís un libro diciendo que no te importa??

En fin, hay otras cosas además de este "alegato" , anécdotas breves sobre sus amistades y boludeces del estilo pero... no pude sacudirme de encima estas explicaciones que no sirven más que para probar eso que ella esta negando. ¿Cómo dice el dicho? ¿No aclares que oscurece?

Antes de leer el libro, yo personalmente, no creía que ella fuese una diva (en el sentido negativo que ella le profiere a la palabra, o sea, alguien agrandado , creido, soberbio o lo que sea), ni tampoco me importaba que carajo dijeran quien carajo lo dijera. Uno es "fan" de alguien, o le "gusta" alguien por su trabajo , no tanto por su personalidad. No obstante ahora , gracias a este libro, he llegado a la conclusión de que, efectivamente, Lea Michele es un poco "diva".

Y me importa un joraca porque sigue cantando bien y me interesa saber en que va a trabajar después de Glee.… (mais)

Obviously I am not the target market for this book. I got my copy for free from a giveaway from Bibliophile. I like biographies and autobiographies, but this wasn't quite that. You could probably get most of what she covered in this book by checking her website or IMDB or whatever.

I'd say the audience for this is Glee fans and YA readers.… (mais)
