Best novel I have ever read. Period. Covers a fictional family between WWI and WWII. The family is involved in flying; they receive a contract to develop aircraft. Two brothers: one leaves Germany, sickened by Nazis. The other, injured in a crash, recuperates in Russia, escapes to Germany, and begins to fly for Germany during WWII. First brother flies for Britain. They face each other in the air without knowing who the other is.
