In this coming of age tale, Pooh learns to play with himself. All day long.

Actually, when no one else is available to play, Pooh mostly spends the day binge eating his favorite comfort food. So, y'know, realistic.

Pooh does drive home how much it sucks to be illiterate as he flips through books, only able to look at the pictures. So sad.

Then there is an out-of-nowhere bizarre and supernatural twist ending that truly disturbs. Pooh "began to count sheep, but he drifted right off to sleep. So the sheep counted him! One tired Pooh bear had a lot of fun / Playing games by himself 'til the day was done." I imagine this was inspired by the Weird Sisters from Macbeth.

Too odd and yet simultaneously too boring for me.

(Side note: My edition of the book has no credited author, but several booksellers around the internet seem to think it is by Cynthia Michaels.)

UPDATE, Sept. 27, 2023:
My edition of this book has no credited writer or artist, and I suspected it was filled with clip art, but I finally found the source of most of the illustrations. They are from Winnie the Pooh Everyday (1998), where the art is credited as penciled by Angel and Eva Rodriguez and painted by Paul Lopez. The stories in the two books have no text in common though both are about a day in the life of Pooh.

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

Diabetic Breakfast Recipes: How to Cook Easy and Delicious Breakfast Recipes for Diabetes Diet (How to Cook Easy and Delicious Recipes for Diabetes Diet Book 1) by Cynthia Michaels
There are many diabetics in the family so I wanted to learn what it is they can eat. Starts out with an intro about being diabetic and how dangerous it can be if you don't pay attention to your diet.
Gives a few tips on what is important with a breakfast meal for a diabetic.
Recipes for type 2 diabetes: recipes start with a title, summary and list of ingredients and how to make it.
No nutritional information and they are not really set up as a recipe, just a few paragraphs and there is no order as to how they appear.
Each chapter seems to cater to certain foods like whole grain or dairy, protein and fruit.
As the book goes further the recipes take on a new shape: title, servings, ingredient and how to make and they each will start on a new page.
Author states how many grams of fat one biscuit is and calories so am wondering why it can't be listed as such for all of them?
