Much in the way _The Good Divorce_ is, um, well, a good book on divorce, _Still a Family_ helps but doesn't heal. Yes, I know, only time does that.

Anyway... there are a few good pieces of help within these pages, but I was also struck with the paragraphs that are dedicated to "Don't get divorced too soon." To think that any couple with children would allow a divorce to happen quickly and without a sincere thought is mind blowing to me... and yet, an entire section is dedicated to it.

Yes, that's a minute gripe about a book over 250 pages long. It shouldn't hold much weight, but it does with me. It makes me feel as though Reynolds has no respect for the difficulty of divorcing, let alone with children involved.

All in all, this was a book I am satisfied with, as I need as many reminders about how to make this difficult time filled with the least amount of pain as possible, for me and my children... but it is also one that I am happy to have found used.… (mais)
