About the Author

Adrian McKinty was born in Northern Ireland. He read politics and philosophy at the University of Oxford. He is a crime fiction novelist, blogger and book reviewer. His novels include the Sean Duffy series and the Lighthouse Trilogy. He made the Ned Kelly 2015 shortlists in the category of Best mostrar mais Novel with his title Gun Street Girl. Adrian McKinty was born and grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He studied politics and philosophy at Oxford University before moving to New York in the mid 1990s His first novel Dead I Well May Be (loosely based on his experiences as an illegal immigrant in the US) was published in 2003. In 2012 after moving to Australia with his wife and children he began publication of the critically acclaimed Sean Duffy series. In 2019 after giving up writing Adrian had a global hit with his standalone novel The Chain. Adrian's books have won the Edgar Award, the Ned Kelly Award (3 times), The Anthony Award, Barry Award, Macavity Award and the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award. His books have been translated into over 40 languages.



The Island. Adrian McKinty. 2022. Deliverance set in Australia! They rent a car and drive around looking for animals. They end up at a river and can see an island and are told they could see plenty of animals there. Once on the isand, there is an accidental hit and run which Heather tries to hide. The island is inhabited by one family, even meaner that the rednecks in Deliverance.That is the plot, This was an exciting book to read and it would make a great movie, however, it is not for the weak. It is full of violence and cruelty. I didn’t reaiize until I had finished the book, that I’d read another book by the author, The Cold, Cold Ground. I will be reading more.… (mais)

The first book in the Michael Forsythe series, this book finds Michael doing a favor for Whitey and ending up in a Mexican prison with three friends.

This is another Sean Duffy mystery. As with all of them, the humor, music, and literature references. make it truly enjoyable.

My favorite in the series, this novel finds Sean given a job by the dreaded MI5 who assignes him to find an IRA leader that he's known since his childhood.
