I found this book very refreshing. It helped shape my outlook on life. I've always wanted to make myself just a little bit better and this book has helped me figure out a way to do just that. I recommend this book to anyone interested in bettering themselves.

I think it was a good book. It gave you very useful information about the national parks. It tells you what the national park is all about, and what the landscape is like too. If you're gonna go on vacation soon like me it’s useful to pick out where you want to go most. Not only does it give you facts about the types of animals that live there but also the history for places like Mt. Rushmore. I now know I want to go to a jungle or go in some caves. It also tells you what kind of activities they have like fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, and much more for different places.
This book has opened my eyes to different things. I now not only want to visit Jungles and caves, but I even want to see deserts like Death Valley. Death Valley is a very HOT desert and you can even sled down the sand dunes! I had no idea there were such places in the USA. Now when I go back to the states I can help plan the family trip , and go see all the things I've learned about!

I picked this book up at the library to look at with my oldest. We are a big National Parks family - trying to visit at least one park or monument every year, collecting the Eastern National Passport Stamps. I liked the artwork in the book, although Big Kid was not that interested. I liked that the book did not just describe the "Big" parks, but also some of the smaller monuments and National Forests. It does come with an insert to hold the National Park quarters, but Amazon reviews say that the slots are too small. Interesting books, but probably not one that I will purchase for our shelves.… (mais)

This is a book for your third consecutive rainy day while you're paying big bucks for a vacation retreat. You'll learn some new things, be refreshed about some other things, and, overall, you'll just shake your head ... that is until you recall human beings are imperfect. It has always been a question about why some people take ethical shortcuts. Conventional wisdom holds that once started, it is a slippery slope to disaster. But what is the motivation to take the first step? Why do some folks, who really do know better, choose to throws aside their, heretofore, ethical behavior? Too often, the lame excuse is that everyone does it. Well, no. Everybody does not lose touch with ethical behavior. Ultimately, it comes down to arrogance, a belief that one is smarter than everyone else. That, of course, is B.S.… (mais)
