This book is convicting and comforting at the same time. I will be recommending it to all my mom-friends as helpful reading for navigating motherhood. Motherhood is hard enough on its own--but trying to live out the Gospel in the mundane and chaotic daily lives we lead seems almost impossible. How do I reflect Christ to my toddler in the midst of an all-out tantrum? How do I bring the Gospel into everyday conversations and the millions of questions from my preschooler? More importantly, how do I keep my own heart focused on God as I try to raise and care for all these tiny humans (and my husband)? Author Brooke McGlothlin addresses these mothers in her new book, and she has created an absolute gem! Praying Mom is divided into two sections, and the first one focuses on the challenges that praying moms face. McGlothlin shares the actual thoughts and concerns of women in different stages of motherhood, and there are many prayer tips offered in this section. The second part is devoted entirely to scripture-inspired prayers that cover the many emotions that we mothers experience. There are prayers for hope, joy, strength, worry, and peace, plus many more, and these prayers will definitely encourage and uplift your spirits. I also appreciate that the author offers added inspiration from the abundance of Bible scripture that she shares throughout the book!

Praying Mom is a wonderful resource that is perfect for mothers of all ages, and I recommend it as an ideal gift suggestion for both baby showers and Mother's Day.
