Extraordinarily insightful book on adoption. Anyone dealing with this issue should read it. It is now a text in some American and Australian psychology courses. Also a great read!

(Bought in Australia) Another book about a displaced Australian - he was adopted as a baby in New Zealand, and began searching for his parents after he was a well-known TV personality. Was reunited wiht his sister and brother and found out what had happened to them. Interestingly, his capacity for intimate relationships was damaged.

A great, pacy read, in the spy-thriller tradition. Ageing Russian mole, apparently forgotten, tries to retire and go home. Russians misunderstand, go into a panic, and all hell breaks loose. Lots of fun, just about the right length for a trans-pacific flight.
