The gist of things in this book is simple in layman's terms, "I believe my daughter belongs to Elvis because, you know, I had this affair with him. Even though I know most of this book is filled with inconsistencies, I want you to ignore it all and let me lay down what I believe is true. I did not let him know I was pregnant nor did I let him know about her during the many occasions we met. I thought it was best to never let him know.

Now that he has been dead for ten years, I want to tell the world about her, and I want to pressure the Presley Estate into allowing me a DNA test because I want to prove my daughter belongs to him.

Also, even though I did not want to put my daughter out there, I had to write this because, you know, reasons and I needed my fifteen hours of fame."

Final Thought:
Honestly, this book reads like a bad real-life person x writer fanfiction.

Definitely interesting reading for me. I know the author and grew up where this took place. This book is based on Clark Air Base in the 70's I was there in the late 70's and again in the mid 80's. I am glad Dary wrote this book for all us Brats.

I expected one thing and got something completely different from this book. It was ok. I was hoping for a great history of the list and those on it. What I got was a limited history of the list with some interesting tidbits and an outdated current list.

It was interesting if incomplete. There really isn't much to add. Pick it up but temper your expectations. For true crime buffs, its really just another addition to a saturated genre that covers the individuals profiled better than what's in here.

One thing I did find comical: the author notes how much each of the bounties are and then gives almost everyone of them this addition - “Chances of locating? Excellent.” I don't think the general public should be encouraged to go out bounty hunting with the idea in mind that they can make some quick bucks here.

A well researched and fascinating read on the life and antics of the 1930's bank robber, John Dillinger. A very in depth account on how Dillinger became public enemy number one and was hunted by the understaffed and underequipped FBI. The book covers the exploits of his criminal associates such as Baby Face Nelson, Homer Van Meter and John Hamiliton and gives detailed accounts of each robbery through witnesses and FBI statements giving a great understanding of how these gangsters carried out their hits.… (mais)
