Jacob is a tortured soul that comes from a tough background that he carries around on his shoulders and he allows to weigh him down. His assistant, Pam, has worked for him for two years after they meet on one of the worst nights of their lives. She lost her father but saved Jacob and they formed a bond even if he comes across as rude or rough. Pam has had stars in her eyes for Jacob since they met but she doesn’t feel like she is even in the same league as him. He has been attracted to her from day one also referring to her as his muse and angel, but he never deems himself worthy enough for someone as precious as she is to him. Jacob doesn’t realize he has the potential to be ana amazing man with so much love to give so he drowns his sorrows in the bottle and fighting, Pam sees his heart and knows he deserves so much more. When attraction becomes too much, and they can no longer fight the pull they have to each other sparks fly and they become as close as a couple that Jacob would allow but is it enough for Pam? Can Jacob let go of his past and move forward? Or will it all be too much for him to handle and will make him drown in his demons? A great read and will read more!!… (mais)

I cannot take seriously three bachelor brothers named Bull, Blade and Canyon who regularly drink milk with dinner. Sorry, even I have my limits. Also Bull was sort of an ass. He has a hissy fit because Scarlett does not want to stop working and be a SAHM, but of course she comes around and gives up her professional self after he gives her the silent treatment for days.] Also Bull has a real fetish for pregnancy. It is good that he found her sexy as she inflated but I will just say that if you are shooting for sexy talk the work "lactate" should never be part of your game.… (mais)

Sweet holiday romance

Can you ever go back in time and recapture what you thought was lost? In the case of Zebb & Eva you can. Eva is a doubter, a modern day Scrooge, no thanks to her upbringing. Zebb is the boy who stole her heart after HS, only to to drift apart, never to be seen again. Until their “22nd” HS Reunion. Sparks fly, but Eva has her doubts. Is it just lust or is it love that Zebb has carried in his heart for over 20 years? Can he break through this scrooge-ish wall Eva has put up around herself, or can they find their happy holiday ending? First book I have read by LB Dunbar and I look forward to reading more!… (mais)

Mmm… it was okay. I did like how the author featured Wiccan elements and mature characters leads into the storyline. Otherwise did anything else stand out? Not really. Pretty mediocre if you ask me in which case put why I put this read in my drop pile.
