L'Homond was a teacher of great skill, who spent most of his life
instructing the boys of Collège du Cardinal Lemoine in religion
and classics. His Elements de la grammaire latine which first
appeared about 1780 remained the standard text used in classical
colleges and schools, and published in many editions in French Canada as in France throughout the
19th century. (Tremaine 1044).
