Flossie Lewis

I love this little book. The author was an English teacher at a private high school in the bay area, and she has written a book about how to write a paper. Her advice boils down to: respect and like yourself, your subject, and your reader, and avoid sloppy writing. She says all this with humor and passion, and makes me want to buckle down and get thinking and get writing. Edited to add: I've had this book for decades, and still love it.
