Splash! Poems of our watery world, like the title says, is about water and the different ways of looking at it and how it affects our world in so many different ways. The author uses water for each poem in different ways in each poem, from the ocean, to laundry, and even the water particles in the fog she uses natural language to reflect the ways water is used in the world.

This was a book of poems mostly relating to nature. It was very easy to read and enjoy, however, it could get a tad boring at times. I agree with the review below that it would be a tad boring for a classroom

I loved this book. I've always had a fascination with water, and the book captures all of the reasons why. There's one poem in particular - Water Wizard - that stood out because I feel as though I've written these same thoughts before. It makes the reader think about all the ways we encounter water. It's such a powerful thing. The book has poems of all sorts - informative, humorous, etc.

Levy also has poems where she uses rhythm and rhyming. This makes it enjoyable for younger children to read the poems.… (mais)
