Resenhas

I had high hopes for this book. Alas, the hopes were too high. I listened to the audio book. The reader ruined this book from the second he opened his mouth. Just a scraping, annoying voice. It distracts from the book.

The author spends the vast majority of the book (IMHO, about 60%) talking about Trump, politics and the New England Patriots.. Not much insight ot groundbreaking. Owners are rich Republican bullies who do whatever needs to be done to make money. Sad.

This is not just another book about The Former Guy, but a book containing anecdotes and statements by many, many people who have been enablers and sycophants of him, and destroyers of America without remorse. It is sad, enraging, disturbing, disgusting, and extremely well-sourced and -written. I enjoyed it very much and am happy to say that it is not ponderous.

A rehashing of the Trump presidency and the various ways in which sycophantic enablers degraded themselves to maintain their own power. It's all disgusting, but at least told in a somewhat humorous manner by author Leibovich.

A gossipy chronology of the sad comings and goings during the Trump administration. I'd had enough by 20%. Political junkies and Trump bashers will enjoy it.
