This was among my late father's cookbooks. I remember him cooking huge Chinese meals a couple times per year from this book, as inspiration. The first 1/4 of this book is full of ingredients, methods, cookware, and generally terminology used for Chinese cooking. I had to giggle at a few of the rather dated comments by the author concerning middle class women no longer having help to do their cooking duties, etc. Be that as it may, this is an extremely good and helpful book. There are no photographs, but there are some pen and ink drawings throughout. I can hardly wait to make a few of the dishes which I remember my Dad preparing. Glad I found this book.… (mais)
