Snow Flower and the Panther de Fleurie Leclercq
I like the glimpse into the Camaroon culture and the message of caring for animals in the wild, but the writing style and picture quality didn't impress me.
Received a review copy of this book. Beautiful illustrations and interesting explanations accompany each animal and letter of the alphabet. A couple of entries are a bit too advanced for beginning readers, but it’s fine if a parent or other adult is reading it to them.
Cute African Animals
I like the drawings in this book, but I’m not sure which age group the book is intended for. Some of the words are too advanced for young children, like “scavenger.” Also, some of the animals are described as having the ability to kill humans, which might scare small children. A pronunciation guide for the animals’ names would be helpful. I found a few grammatical errors, and a couple of times a word or words has been left out of a sentence. Overall it is a cute book, but it definitely needs to be proofread.… (mais)
