Once I Was Loved is a beautiful story following the 'life' of a stuffed bunny named Tock. The book takes us on a journey through time as we meet all of the people that Tock loved, but at some point, in some way, had to leave behind.

The timeframe spans decades and, as such, readers get to live through world events -- from war to the first lunar landing, rock and roll to mobile phones. It lends itself to wonderful conversations with children about history and could lead especially to understanding what grandparents may have experienced.
