Philip S. Land

I thought this book was a memoir by the late Phil Land, who was a frequent celebrant at a Catholic community we attended on the East Coast. It is, in part, but it is really an intellectual or theological memoir and argument with Catholic thinking on social issues, politics and economics. As such, this can be pretty heavy going, but Land argues in a convincing and interesting way for continuity from the Gospels through Aquinas and the social encyclicals to liberation theology and other "dissident" theological schools of thought.… (mais)
