Pequena biografia
I have always loved to write.  I wish I had not waited so long to share my work with others.  My hope is that anyone who reads my work will take away a piece of me that will stay with them forever.

When I first picked up Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, I was hooked from the first page. What resonated with me was the fact that the central character, Mara Byrne, lost her husband of 30+ years without warning and that was only the beginning. In the first few chapters we watch her deal with grief and the good intentions of family and friends. But when Mara decides to move on with her life she finds a key to a safe deposit box that belonged to her husband. The box contains nothing more than a letter that appears to have come from a paramour of her husband. Mara is crushed, her life is put on hold, and she feels that she must confront the unknown woman in order to bring closure to her own life.

As a thriving author of mysteries herself, she feels quite content following up leads until she hits a dead end. A fortuitous find of an ad for a dectective named Alex Strange, however, hits her hard. You see, Alex Strange is the name of the detective in Mara's novels. But this Alex Strange soon becomes her ally as they travel cross country and go up against some dangerous players in an international game.

Ms. Kidd's voice is a new one and one that will be heard again hopefully. This book was an easy read with just the right amount of suspense and not too much to trip up the casual reader. This writer shows great promise and I look forward to her next book.

WOW....i wasn't a big fan f this book. i thought the plot was rather interesting, but the love situation threw me off. I know that the main characters would end up together, but i never thought it would be so fast. I mean come on she just lost her husband and now she is looking into some other guy.

Mara Byrne has been married to her best friend for 30 years, and is a successful author of seven "The Alex Strange Mysteries". Her life is perfect until Thomas dies unexpectedly from an aneurysm and she finds what may be a love letter from another woman. She sets out to find who this other woman is and along the way discovers a detective by the name of Alex Strange, the same as her detective. After confronting him and finding out that it's his real name, he offers to help her find this mystery woman, neither knowing how dangerous this will be.

It took me a day to read this book, I simply could not stay away from it. Well written and very likable characters. The ending was great and I was completely satisfied that I spent my Sunday reading this book. I absolutely loved it!
