With gorgeous full-color photographs, this book shows the diversity of butterflies that can be seen in the world. While the text is somewhat minimal to engage younger readers, there are still lots of fun facts about each specific type of butterfly. This book works well as a readaloud in a classroom setting for elementary school-age children, particularly as many youngsters typically have a butterfly unit at some point or another in their science curriculum. The glasswing butterfly featured on the cover is a particularly cool addition to this book; I thought I knew a decent amount about butterflies but that was a new one to me!… (mais)
