John Keats tem 2 eventos passados. (show)  A Feast of Poetry Help us celebrate National Poetry Month with an evening of poetry and food – the perfect pair! Featuring five local poets, appetizers, and a cash bar. The event is free and open to the public, but please register via North Vancouver City Library's Event Calendar. Doors open at 6:30pm, reading begins at 7:00pm. Featured Poets Raoul Fernandes lives and writes in Vancouver, BC. He was a finalist for the 2010 Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers and has been published in numerous literary journals including Prism International, The Malahat Review, CV2, and Event. He is also an editor for the online poetry magazine, The Maynard. His first collection of poems is Transmitter and Receiver out this Spring from Nightwood Editions.
Pam Galloway lives in Vancouver. Her poems have been published widely in literary magazines and anthologies and twice on the website of the Canadian Parliamentary Poet Laureate.Her first book of poetry, Parallel Lines, was published in 2006. Her most recent book of poetry is Passing Stranger, published in 2014.
Rachel Rose has won national awards for her poetry, her fiction, and her non-fiction, including a 2014 Pushcart Prize and two nominations for a 2015 Pushcart. She has published poems, short stories and essays in Canada, the U.S., New Zealand and Japan. She is the Poet Laureate of Vancouver.
Rob Taylor grew up in Port Moody and lives in Vancouver with his wife, Marta. He is the author of the poetry collection, The Other Side of Ourselves, and four poetry chapbooks, including Lyric and Smoothing the Holy Surfaces. Rob is the Poetry Editor at PRISM international, a coordinator of the Dead Poets Reading Series, and the co-founder of One Ghana, One Voice, Ghana’s first online poetry magazine
David Zieroth’s most recent books are Albrecht Dürer and me, a book of poems; and The November Optimist, a book of fiction. His other publications include The Fly in Autumn, which won the Governor General’s Literary Award for Poetry, and several chapbooks, including Hay Day Canticle. A novella, Zoo and Crowbar, will be launched in Toronto on June 7, 2015. In 2008 he founded The Alfred Gustav Press, a micro press for publishing poetry chapbooks. He lives in North Vancouver, BC.  Edward Hirsch Edward Hirsch ( Earthly Measures, Lay Back the Darkness, On Love, The living fire, Special orders, The night parade, Wild gratitude, Complete poems and selected letters of John Keats) Edward Hirsch is the author of seven previous collections of poetry, including Wild gratitude, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award, and Special orders. He has also published four prose books, among them How to Read a Poem, a national best seller. He has received numerous awards for his poetry, including a MacArthur Fellowship, and publishes regularly in a wide variety of magazines and journals, including American Poetry Review and The New Yorker.
