This is a little confusing, theres way too much overlap from the first books and its characters? I don't understand why theres so much extra time spent on Wendy and Janet's interactions and that maybe they needed a short story of their own. It really feels like a disservice of Michelle and and Elizabeth. I made it 40% before I had to put it down, like theres so much extra stuff going on that its hard to actually follow the main characters as they have so little focus in their own books. So far there isn't really much to hook you into the main characters at all. I feel like thats too far to go into the book without something that grabs you as a reader. I enjoy the fake dating or marriage trope a lot, so for this to be about fake cheating because the soon to be ex husband is also cheating feels a little.... icky. Ms Kaplan has some really good books, and I'd totally suggest her Nevada series instead if you want a funny and good read.… (mais)

I wanted to like this, the concept is a fresh one and not something I've seen in any of my books before but ultimate this fell on its own face. Not even the amazing Abby Craden could make this a real winner. The attempts at humor from Easy is 99% of the time kind of gross and definitely on a "Chad" scale rather than actually something I can find funny. The technical aspects made it a bit of a stretch too, especially when we got to the part with the tank and Kaplan writes about the kids/refugees running around in the tank. Like how big do you think the inside of a tank really is? Also this is meant to feel like a contemporary piece... but it doesn't really feel anywhere near current except for a few vague usages of tech. This is a nother bust for me...… (mais)

I have such mixed feelings about this book.

Lets start at the easy pary, the good: The humor is great, I love me some nerdy references, and the sex scenes are kinda really nice though I would have preferred some more.

The bad: seriously having to listen to so much of the garbage that comes out of Lucia's mouth and takes her from a character I liked and put her more towards a character I tolerated... and barely at that. Look I get that this is like carmilla meets dracula, mixed with more than a little inspirationg and nearly direct quotes of Jennifer's body.... but that still doesn't make the crap that came out of Lucia's mouth okay. That tone only really worked in Jennnifer's body, because we all knew we were gunna hate that MC.

and the iffy: There was a lot of ground to cover and a lot of things to tie in, so this felt entirely too long for me, and the plot gets a little screwy over all with some plot built up and ultimately ignored at the end. Also I don't partically enjoy how the ending is wrapped up.... its hard to swallow that kind of wrap up.... especially when Mindy lost her shit over just sneaking around behind her parent's back for like .5 seconds of the book.... but this ending? yeah no problem. Mindy could totally go down that plot line without the slightest quibble. *insert eyeroll here*

Look I love references that allow you to have a character that is nerdy and dirty(specifically that BadDragon one), I’m all for that but I found Wendy to be extremely immature and mostly unlikeable. In the audio book the transition between fantasies and reality, as well as between the characters was REAL lacking and it came off as a complete run on. Janet could have been like-able in that Dom kind of way but her unhealthy copping of taking her emotional hurt out on Wendy wasn’t okay with me, so even though they talked safewords, and there was an attempt at discussion limits like healthy adults, I still wouldn’t count this as healthy kink. Idk this was kind of all over the place and really hard to follow along with. It felt like a ramble of ideas without much cohesiveness.… (mais)
