More newly translated work and with stellar artwork.. Jose Pergentio writes in a deeply weird-mode. Its dark and brooding with lots of magical realism and always surprising. This collection of short stories, all set in Mexico, all deal with family and love and longing and loss and Zapotec mythology. The stories are inventive and original and the translation into English by Thomas Bustead is very well done.
