He spent numerous years as a focus puller in the film industry, where he worked on mostrar mais films such as Quills, Golden Eye, and Entrapment. His first novel, The Eyre Affair, was published in 2001. He is the author of the Thursday Next, Nursery Crime and Dragonslayer series and the novel Shades of Gray. In 2004, he won the Wodehouse Prize for comic fiction for The Well of Lost Plots. In 2013, his title The Last Dragonslayer made The New York Times best seller list. Red Side Story de Jasper Fforde
You'll certainly want to have read Shades of Grey before this one, or it won't make much sense, but the weird color-based madness world-building continues apace in this one, which brings in some even darker dystopian elements. A typically Ffordian delight.
I had to deduct half a star because of the introduction of some elements (I don't want to give spoilers), since for me "Shades of Grey" was a perfect book on its own.
I have read this twice, and love it so much. My favorite part is when they go to see Richard III, and the audience participates with the cast. It's such a fun, well written book!
This one was much happier than The Well of Lost Plots. I'm so glad I read it!
