These unique words made the story interesting and made me want to keep reading. The plot in this story was well paced. I like that there was not too much time spent on one character, but each character was introduced and wanted to play or dance with the young boy, Jack. The big message of this story is that someone can make friends anywhere and pets or animals can also be someone’s friends.… (mais)

Retelling: Arabella Miller found a caterpillar and decided to keep it. She built it a home and watched it grow. It went from a caterpillar to a cocoon to a butterfly, only to hatch its own eggs.

Thoughts and Feelings: I love how careful Arabella was to give the caterpillar everything it needed. Animals are very fragile. I accidentally killed a fish once by overfeeding it.
