Cute story written to help kids who have nightmares feel more in control in their dreams and face their fears. I like how some of the different ghosts and monsters are things like shadows, something that rattles the house, water, and other things that kids might be scared about but in the story Skeletina shows that they aren’t really that scary and teaches kids that come to the in-between world in their dreams how to conquer their fears. Cute, uniquely drawn illustrations as well!

I love learning, so giving me a cute picture book with English & Spanish was perfectly up my alleyway! I learned French back in my Canadian, elementary school days and I always wanted to pick up more languages. As you can guess, schedules got busy and life just didn't allow that. So, as an adult, I'm going to enjoy a little picture book aimed at a much younger age group to try to learn a few words. FYI - learning new languages is a lot easier as a child, so I definitely recommend teaching the kiddos while they are young!

This book is simple in all the best ways. It includes a word in English and it's Spanish translations, along with a super colour illustrations. It's also a pop up book that shows you how to use the word in a sentence (in both languages!). It's a fantastic way to help introduce words. I would recommend looking up the pronunciation for this book though, because it only how's the word. You could totally botch how to say any of these words - easy peasy.

Overall, great educational tool! I love it!

Three out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Encantos Media Studios for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Oh boy, Skeletitos is the cutest little book I've seen this year!

Learn to count with this sweet book that follows Skeletitos around the clock!

For one, the style alone is lovely. The dashes of colour among the black and white works really well and makes it stand out in the crowd. The elephant really stood out to me - I thought it was the coolest of the bunch (but obviously, they all are drawn wonderfully).

Another great bonus is the app and free activities. I think that's a great way to get the base audience involved and active with this book. It's also a great marketing tool (and as a marketing student, I LOVE seeing marketing tactics like this. It's smart!). Also, the song is in English and Spanish! That's a great way to encourage reading and languages! My inner education lover is singing with joy! Mostly in English though, my Spanish was never that great - thank goodness this song let's me sing along and learn the words.

I think this is a cute, little book that would be great around Halloween time. Young readers can count, sing and learn Spanish all at the same time (or learn English! But in my area, we mostly speak English). I'd highly recommend picking up this book if you have the chance! My best guess is that this would be better suited for young day care kids up to grade three. Or maybe for reading buddies!

My biggest criticism was based off my e-copy. The pages didn't always sync up correctly. That won't be a problem for the final version of this book, I'm sure. I received a proof from NetGalley for reviewing purposes.

Five out of five stars.

I received this book for free from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley and Encantos Media for the opportunity to read this sweet, little book!

When I saw the title La Bamba, I thought the 80s tune. It’s not, but I don’t care. I do not recognize the song that this is or this comes from and I think that made it so much better with the two different languages since most the time you have something that’s very well known in English being transcribed into Spanish and this time it’s the other way around. This book is just another great addition to the series that you should check out
